- Roughly chop all ingredients.
- Place in a high-speed blender or bullet and blitz until a smooth drinking consistency. Thin with a little water if necessary.

This will get you seriously charged up in the morning—the apples assist with digestion, the beetroot detoxifies your gallbladder, the carrots help detoxify your liver along with providing a good dose of beta carotene, calcium and magnesium. Celery helps with building red blood cells, preventing calcium deposits. Cucumber helps with dissolving kidney and bladder stones. Ginger improves circulation and contains phosphorus, magnesium and calcium.
To ensure you have your total cleanse, add some spirulina which helps to fight tumours and is rich in beta carotene.
The list would go on if I had enough space. Suffice to say, you’re probably feeling healthy already!
As an aside, if you’ve got an ice-cream machine this would make a delicious sorbet to have as a palate cleanser. Or make a granita—freeze in a tray then break in pieces, blitz in a food processor, and refreeze to make it easy to scoop out.
