Simon and Hazel’s Big Adventure

We had a fantastic time in Masterton—just not enough of it. We had an exceptional brunch at Ten O’clock Cookie Bakery & Cafe, Hazel had the creamy mushrooms and I had the smashed avocado with whipped feta, bacon and perfectly poached eggs. Staff were super friendly. Highly recommend if you’re in that neck of the woods. We then hit the park which was a real hit and described as super fun. Hazel even got to touch the antlers on the deer which were soft to touch.

We then hit the road for Greytown before setting off for Upper Hutt where we were invited to join a family dinner. Roast lamb which was delicious followed by a super-yummy cherry dessert—similar in style to a tiramisu. We also rolled out some of my cocktail kits: Skinny Passionfruit Mojito to start before dinner, Cherry cocktail with dessert then a Piña Colada …….then bed.

Action-packed day planned today. It sure is hard packing everything into just one week; sadly not enough time to catch up with friends who reach out knowing we are in town.
